HALLUX LIMITUS/RIGID MORTON'S EXTENSION Hallux Limitus/Rigid Morton's Extension ·To reduce pain associated with dors-flexion of the hallux, we recommend adding a Ridid Morton's Extension. Rigid Morton's Extension ·A Rigid Morton's Extension is a continuation of the plastic shell material distally full length under the first met head and the hallux. ·The distal portion of the rest of the shell is cut normally, just proximal to 2-5 met heads. ·The rigidity of the full length portion of the plastic under the hallux may help to reduce painful motion of the hallux. |
